Neil Hodge is a professionally qualified journalist and photographer based in Nottingham in the East Midlands. He has written articles and shot pictures for the UK national press, as well as for publications throughout Europe and the US. He is able to travel throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide as part of an assignment.

As a photojournalist, Neil has carried out assignments in India, Israel, Palestine, South Africa, the US and Europe. These have ranged from documenting the lives of gas survivors in Bhopal 20 years after the world's worst industrial accident, to shadowing the work of Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance drivers in Ramallah and the West Bank.

Neil is currently working on a project about the lives of people who are suffering from asbestos-related diseases, such as mesothelioma (as shown in the photographs above). His pictures were included in the Daily Mirror's "Asbestos timebomb" campaign and were exhibited around the UK as part of the NUJ's "Stand up for photojournalism" campaign. The project has taken him all around the UK, as well as India (see pictures below).

Besides photography, Neil is also a skilled and respected journalist and he carries out a lot of editorial work. He writes mainly on business and legal issues for leading newspapers and business magazines, which have included The Financial Times, The Observer, Financial Director, Strategic Risk, Business Insurance and Accountancy Age, but he has also contributed to New Internationalist, Tribune and Private Eye.

Neil is also an excellent copywriter and has written brochures, ghost-articles, speeches, press releases and other material for a range of corporate cleints including Ernst & Young, KPMG, Deloitte, Microsoft, Compaq, Capita, SunGard, Lloyds TSB, and HM Revenue & Customs.
